The founders' story
Neville and Eveline's motivation to start JoMa Healthcare is rooted in their personal experience caring for their ageing parents. As they navigated the care system, they realised the need for reliable, compassionate, professional home care in their local community. Their experience highlighted the gaps in the system, where there was either a lack of personalised care or overworked carers who could not give their loved ones the attention they needed.
This was particularly hard for Neville, who found himself balancing work and care duties, and for Eveline, who saw the emotional and mental toll it took on both their family and the carers involved. Their experience sparked the vision for a service that could offer families the peace of mind they had sought for their own loved ones — one that gives people access to high-quality care, delivered with respect, empathy and professionalism.
